EUGENE -- University of Oregon freshman Jamesha Youngblood posted the school’s second-best triple jump mark of all time in her collegiate outdoor debut to highlight the Ducks’ performances in Saturday’s Oregon Preview at Hayward Field.

The San Pablo, Calif., newcomer unleashed a winning leap of 41-11.25 on her third of four attempts, with the mark surpassed in Oregon annals only by Sara Jessie’s 42-6 in 1995.

Men’s senior sprinter Phil Alexander set his Oregon best in winning the 200 meters in a meet record 21.04, in addition to running the third leg on the Ducks’ winning 4x100 relay.
